For example, as much as I enjoy pasta, I always made more (ok, way more!) quantity than intended for dinner. I needed to realize that I would simply end up eating all of it, instead of divide it into portions for the next day or two. Sometimes, we need to simply recognize that we need to learn proper measurements so we don't overeat!
Or, literally attack two slices of chocolate cake right before bed, and later wonder why we didn't had a very good night sleep the next day. High-sugar content snacks (including fruits) should be eaten throughout the morning before mid-day, since these foods are packed with calories, intended to fuel our day but messing with our sleep if consumed in the evening, due to the high-calorie content and energy our bodies take in to break down and digest them. Perhaps we can skip this rule on dinner parties and special occasions (or occasionally), but on a constant basis, we can start having sleeping problems or unrestful nights more often than normal.
